Little used or not used by the silk hand weavers from Lyon, the raquette Jacquard was often used by the trimming and ribbon weavers from the Loire as shown in this photo.

In a simpler manner, the upward movement of the carriage is done not vertically as on the mechanics 104 but transversely, which necessitates a different setting of the frames, since the hooks on the front side (on the left in the picture will rise lower than those placed to the right).

Less known than the 104 Jacquard, the "Jacquard raquette" was mainly used by the trimming weavers from the Loire and the Haute Loire. It usually contained fifty-two hooks, as the model presented here, and sometimes twenty six.
